Our Marketing Officers in the agrochemical sector in Bangladesh play a vital role in supplying, distributing and promoting pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and rodenticides etc. to farmers through dealers and retailers network across the districts and rural markets.
UPBL Marketing Officers are generally assigned region-wise territories including Dhaka, Mymensingh, Jamalpur, Bogura, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Cumilla and Chattogram divisions. Their responsibility is to ensure timely product supply, dealer coordination, market development, promotional activities, and technical support to farmers.
Main Responsibilities of Marketing Officers
- Visiting dealers, retailers, and farmers regularly
- Collecting market orders and ensuring product availability
- Monitoring crop conditions and pest infestations
- Conducting farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and campaign programs
- Coordinating with transport authorities and local distributors for smooth delivery
- Maintaining stock movement and payment collection
- Promoting safe and effective use of agrochemical products
- Reporting regional sales performance to Head Office
